# Desktop strike repair — 2026-09-11

One built-in imagegen edit using an actual 1440×960 desktop screenshot. Files saved in `eiko/img/designs/desktop-fix/`: `before.png`, `proposal.png`, `implemented.png`; static DOM fixture `snapshot.html`.

## Visual diff

- Original: an extra 1px group border connects separately rounded buttons. Strike widths vary from ~70 to 86px, height35px; spot height~38px. The inline label indents the first strike about50px from the first asset.
- Proposal: removes the enclosing border and improves separation. It still renders unequal widths and retains the inline label, despite the request. It is a helpful visual proposal, not an exact specification.
- Implemented at1440px: no group border, six equal ~101px widths, 44px targets and spot badge. Strike label is above its row, first strike and first asset share x253px. Wrapping stays responsive; hidden strikes remain hidden, owned OFF badges can wrap inside their button.
- Card gains about32px height to give its label a separate line. Surrounding content naturally flows down. Market/strike values are from the captured DOM, not generated numbers. A few minutes elapsed between original screenshot and DOM freeze, so the epoch countdown differs; this is not a pixel-identical whole-page fixture comparison.

All app financial JS is unchanged. The new CSS variant is available in Gyro and Eiko bases but opt-in on alpha only. Tested actual widths320,768,1024,1440 with all six choices visible and no clipping. Single-series spot-only layouts remain valid, with a small empty grid-row gap because the engine hides the label/choices; Eiko's current six-strike assets do not take that path.

## Tool metadata

The built-in tool result exposed only `image_url` and `output_hint`, no model identifier. This run cannot establish whether the backend was GPT Image 2 or2.5.

## Final prompt

```text
Use case: precise-object-edit — desktop UI layout repair.
Input image 1 is the EDIT TARGET: actual desktop Eiko Alpha at 1440px, not a reference to redesign wholesale.
Change ONLY the "Asset & strike" card in the upper central portion. Fix alignment and grouping of its asset buttons, "Strike" label, six strike buttons, and spot badge. The current old group outline makes separately rounded strikes look stuck together, different button widths make them look uneven, the inline label offsets their starting edge, and spot feels disconnected. Propose a clean practical desktop HTML/CSS layout with consistent alignment, equal strike hit targets, deliberate spacing, a clear selected strike and a quieter read-only spot. Use the existing Eiko light lavender/violet palette, rounded controls and sans typography. You may move the Strike label above its row and give the two control groups clear spacing. Keep the card economical in height. Preserve all surrounding app content, header, sidebar and lower panels as-is.
INVARIANTS inside card: keep exact heading "Asset & strike"; keep all four asset choices in original order "VIRTUAL", "TIBBIR", "ROBO", "OPG" and their existing small icons; ROBO remains selected. Keep ALL six strike values in order "$0.0085", "$0.01", "$0.012", "$0.014", "$0.016", "$0.018"; only "$0.0085" selected. Keep the "Strike" label and exact spot "SPOT $0.00944". Spot is a read-only value, not a selectable strike. No removal, reordering, rounding, invention of values. No new chips, inputs, selector arrows, words, decorations or features. Do not replace the page with a mockup, no device frame. Preserve the same viewport and composition. Return only the improved desktop screenshot.
